Candidate for
Board of Regents District 2
I’m running for the Board of Regents to make education affordable, attainable, and of the highest quality. I will use my experience as a public servant to navigate a changing budget and environment. When the university succeeds, the state thrives.
-Elizabeth Butler
The University Board of Regents is the governing body responsible for the strategic direction, budget approval, tuition rates, and policy making for the NU system. Comprised of eight elected members and four student regents, they hire the University President, manage assets, and oversee educational quality and operations.
If elected, Elizabeth will work with the board and administration to continue to build a university that is attractive to students while providing a high-quality education at a low cost. She will use her government background to manage the budget and strategically plan for the future.
Elizabeth believes research is crucial to education. She will work to establish rules and regulations that best serve administration, students and faculty of the university.
